The Advertising Standards Authority laid down the law last week with a crackdown on social media ads
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASAI) caused a bit of a furore last week when it upheld a complaint about a social media blogger, Rosie Connolly, for misleading advertising. Connolly’s face had been filtered and Photoshopped while advertising a make-up product, and for the first time, a complaint about an influencer or blogger was upheld by the committee.
