When Ireland lifted a second consecutive Six Nations title last March, we were warned. When Joe Schmidt’s men ascended to second place in the world rankings last August, we were warned. When France were dispatched without our key leaders two weeks ago, we were warned. In the end, as a nation, we chose not to listen.
