Our heritage sites are stuck in the past – the OPW needs to raise its game

The Office of Public Works looks after Ireland’s national monuments and historic properties. Some of its silverware needs polishing.

The OPW is in the media business because it is responsible for where the rubber of heritage communication meets the road of heritage experience. To my mind some of its work is showing its age, and its media inventory has the look and feel of a previous century.
