The Guardian's strategy of financing its journalism through donations is expected to almost halve its losses this year as it moves to a tabloid format

2018 is expected to be another year of major disruption in the print industry, and the changes have begun to appear early. Yesterday The Guardian unveiled its new tabloid look, complete with new masthead and revamped website. The change from the newspaper’s Berliner format to a tabloid size was announced seven months ago, so it was not a surprise to see a different looking Guardian looking up at us from newstands yesterday.
