Greencoat Renewables, the Irish renewable energy company set to float on the stock market this year, believes an €8 billion opportunity exists in the green electricity market in Ireland.

Paul O’Donnell, who will head up the fund’s €250 million flotation, aims to buy wind farms from developers who need fresh cash injections to build more projects.
