Grafton Group, the Irish builders’ merchants and DIY group, expects a strong performance this year after an encouraging uptick in business in the final months of 2019.

In a trading update issued this morning, Grafton said business had been better than expected in November and December despite continued uncertainty in some key markets.

The group reported a 2.7 per cent increase in revenue to £2.67 billion (€3.12 billion) from its continuing operations in 2019.
