Social media giant criticised over claims it allows homophobic harassment on YouTube

Google has been accused by a leading Irish LGBT activist of contradicting its support for Dublin Pride by allowing homophobic harassment on its YouTube platform.

National LGBT Federation board member Adam Long said it was noteworthy that San Francisco Pride is considering its relationship with Google following the controversy last week.

Google which owns YouTube, is a “platinum sponsor” of the Dublin event, which is the highest level of sponsorship.
