With Carlow shocking Kildare and Wicklow being roasted by Dublin, the results hid a missed opportunity for the GAA, according to Emmet Ryan

Last Sunday’s championship slate was amongst the most packed for a non-qualifier weekend in recent history. The standout result by far was Carlow’s win over Kildare to book a Leinster semi-final date with near neighbours Laois. Wicklow faced their rivals to the north Dublin and took an expected pasting.
