The GAA needs to remember its humanity

With Carlow shocking Kildare and Wicklow being roasted by Dublin, the results hid a missed opportunity for the GAA, according to Emmet Ryan

Last Sunday’schampionship slate was amongst the most packed for a non-qualifier weekend in recent history. The standout result by far was Carlow’s win over Kildare to book a Leinster semi-final date with near neighbours Laois. Wicklow faced their rivals to the north Dublin and took an expected pasting.

Behind the results was an issue where the fans in the two upstart counties were at a loss due to the GAA’s own mechanisms.
