Great Northern Distillery, the whiskey maker backed by exploration entrepreneur and Cooley founder John Teeling, is set to raise another €2.5 million, bringing its total funding to €15 million.

The Dundalk-based operation is raising the funds through the state backed Employment and Investment Incentive Scheme (EIIS) of tax-friendly investing, with Cantor Fitzgerald gathering the backers.
