Fund manager slates Revenue over handling of SME tax break

The manager of a fund run by Goodbody stockbrokers has launched a broadside against the Revenue Commissioners over its handling of a key tax-break scheme for small businesses.

A senior manager at the firm which operates the fund complained that the Revenue team handling the employment incentive and investment scheme (EIIS) is “too small, has insufficient experience, refuses to communicate in a modern efficient manner and is badly equipped”.
