The transport minister says more funding will be needed for public transport as the economy grows

Minister for Transport Paschal Donohoe cuts a contradictory figure: the bicycle enthusiast who is planning to introduce ‘on-the-spot fines’ for cyclists.

He is also the minister who has a copy of former PDs leader Des O’Malley’s new autobiography on his coffee table, but is currently close to finishing James Ellroy’s 720-page crime novel Perfidia.
