Established in 2006, Animation Ireland is becoming a serious player in the AV sector

It might be all cute cartoons on the outside, but on the inside, the animation industry is getting serious.

Animation Ireland, the trade association for the industry, has been around since 2006, but it has just been incorporated as a business organisation.

John Phelan, who came on board as independent chair of Animation Ireland last year, said the organisation had been functioning in an ad hoc fashion before now.
