Entrepreneur Michael Carey, a co-founder of the newly opened East Coast Bakehouse in Drogheda and the chairman of Bord Bia, has said Irish food businesses are being forced to concentrate on winning new markets after Brexit.

If food exports are to grow from the current €11 billion to €19 billion by 2025, the Food Wise target, most growth will come from non-British markets, Carey said.
