Flender, the peer-to-peer lender where former rugby player Jamie Heaslip has emerged as an investor, is raising a significant round of institutional funding that will close soon, according to its co-founder Oli Cavanagh.

This follows on from a funding round of €750,000 from private investors and Enterprise Ireland in April. Flender is also putting together a senior debt package of up to €50 million to lend to SMEs, and has set up a ...
