Felt is fabulous for Dungarvan artist

It was while studying for a Master’s degree in illustration at Falmouth University in Cornwall that British-born artist Pippa Sweeney first came across needle felting.

Sweeney, who had originally qualified as an interior designer before working as a freelance illustrator for newspapers and book publishers, studied the craft under master felter Birgitte Krag Hansen.
