Facebook reacts to pressure over ad revenue

Money from international ad sales will no longer be routed through Dublin in an effort to provide more transparency

Social media giant Facebook has responded to pressure over its tax arrangements by announcing a change in the way it records revenue from advertising.

The move was announced in a blog post by chief financial officer Dave Wehner, who said that advertising revenue from its local sales offices in various countries would be recorded in those countries, rather than being routed through Facebook’s international headquarters in Dublin.
