EY advising Ladbrokes on restructuring plan
Betting company Ladbrokes has brought in giant auditing firm EY to advise on Project Athru, the codename for the company’s efforts to restructure and revive its flagging Irish operations.
The Sunday Business Post understands that the firm will work alongside the betting firm’s Irish staff, led by Jackie Murphy, in a process that could take several months.
Part of the restructuring could see Ladbrokes shut more than 40 of its roughly 200 betting shops in Ireland.
The company has also not ruled out the possibility of the company’s Irish operations being sold off entirely.
