Exergyn raises €5m for engine which could prove hot stuff
The Dublin inventors of an eco device that will allow manufacturers to use waste water to generate electricity have raised €5 million in funding.
Mechanical engineers Barry Cullen and Kevin O’Toole designed the earliest version of the Exergyn Drive while both were lecturing part-time at Dublin Institute of Technology.
They set up a company to develop the product commercially in 2012, after meeting inventor Alan Healy, Exergyn’s chief executive.
