European shares climb, Fyffes gains 10%

European shares climbed as optimism that the Federal Reserve will raise US interest rates gradually offset worries about the deteriorating situation in Greece.

By 09:40 a.m., London's FTSE 100 was 0.1 per cent higher, French shares gained 0.7 per cent while Germany's DAX was also 0.7 per cent firmer. In Dublin, the ISEQ index of Irish shares gained 0.7 per cent as well.
