The European Union is trying to kill the cookie monster.
There has been a lot of blame heaped on Brussels these past few years, but it’s unlikely that eurocrats have ever before been accused of attempted Muppet murder.
Thankfully, the monster in question is not the one from Sesame Street. Rather, it’s the one the European Commission has in its sights as part of a proposed new regulation on privacy and electronic communications.
