The British industry regulator has halted works at the country’s first fracking venture following concerns over the latest earthquakes there.

Cuadrilla Resources,headed by Irish exploration executive Francis Egan, said in response to questions that it was confident that measures it had taken meant it would soon be able to recommence works at the Lancashire site.
