Eason hires deal advisor amid investor interest

Bookseller Eason has hired corporate finance house IBI to advise on its future.

Two investor groups confirmed to The Sunday Business Post that they have looked at Eason as an acquisition prospect, either wholly or in part, in recent times.

Eason has been conducting a restructuring process since 2010, working through legacy leases, pensions and other issues.

The company declined to say when it expected to conclude that when contacted.
