An international consortium is developing a €135 million whiskey storage facility in Westmeath to take advantage of the boom in Irish whiskey sales.

The project is being spearheaded by Vault Storage Limited, which counts local Mullingar businessmen Alan Wright and Ted Wright as directors. The pair also run Writech Group, which provides fire protection systems for distilleries.
