Stephen Kinsella: DUP are hard-liners on almost every issue of interest to either the Republic or the North

The government they support may not show the necessary care towards their neighbours in the South. We are now in serious trouble. And then you have Brexit . . .

Theresa May won, but lost. Jeremy Corbyn lost, but won. Ireland loses either way. A hung parliament with confidence and supply agreements looms. The DUP will prop up the Tories. This is the exact opposite of the strong and stable government Theresa May wanted as she called a general election after swearing a hole through a pot she wouldn’t call one. A weak and divided parliament must now negotiate with a strong and coherent EU-27. In the middle is Ireland, and none of this is good for us.
