A digital banking start-up has its sights set on significant growth in Ireland in the next year, as it gears up to compete with traditional banks as the latest player in the Irish current account market.

N26, a fast-growing European digital bank, first launched its smartphone bank account, which is linked to a MasterCard, to Irish consumers late last year.
