Deadline looms for lenders

Little more than a fortnight remains before banks must submit lending activity reports to the Central Bank

Lenders have just over two weeks left before they must submit detailed reports to the Central Bank on lending activity since the introduction of strict new mortgage rules earlier this year.

The Central Bank’s so-called “macro-prudential” rules, in force since the middle of February, mean that borrowers now require bigger deposits and are restricted by tighter income multiples.
