It could take centuries to achieve equality without serious efforts to bring women into male-dominated spheres such as business and politics, according to food industry entrepreneur Alison Cowzer.

Cowzer, one of the founders of East Coast Bakehouse, has just begun the production of girl scout cookies – the fourth biggest brand of biscuits in America – for the Irish Girl Guides.
