UPS’s purchase of Irish delivery company Nightline could lead to “customer foreclosure concerns” in Ireland, the competition authority has heard.

Nightline is one of the biggest express delivery and logistics companies in Ireland and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) this month cleared the purchase, which will make UPS the second biggest player in the market.

However, there were some objections to the deal, according to CCPC filings.
