Colin Hunt appointed new AIB boss

AIB has tapped Colin Hunt to be its new chief executive following the unexpected departure of Bernard Byrne.

Hunt, who runs AIB’s wholesale and institutional banking division, will take over as chief executive early next year once his appointment is cleared by the Central Bank.
