Clerys sale nets upwards of €7 million for dealmaker Foley

The sale price is more than double the €29 million Natrium, a consortium involving Foley’s D2 and British fund Cheyne Capital, paid to US group Gordon Brothers three years ago

Financier Deirdre Foley will make in the region of €7 million from the sale of Clerys, sources with knowledge of the deal said.

The €63 million sale of the 162-year-old historic Dublin department store building was announced last Wednesday, with Europa Capital leading the acquisition and businessman Paddy McKillen jr’s Oakmount Developments and family trustee firm Core Capital as local partners.
