Clare man’s sensor business gets boost from IoT pivot
Tekelek has kept its head out of the cloud, instead carving out a niche on the hardware side of things
The decision to take a punt on the emerging internet of things (IoT) sector is paying off for Peter McCarthy, founder and chief executive of the Clare company Tekelek.
Some 23 years after it was established, Tekelek has grown to employ more than 200 people in Ireland and overseas. The company has revenues of €17 million and invests about €1 million in research and development every year.
