Mixed results for Irish newspapers in ABC report

Newspapers continue to experience a decline in circulation, with an average drop of 4.4 per cent in the first half of 2015, the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) report shows.

The Sunday Business Post’s circulation drop was the smallest in the Sunday market, dropping 2.2 per cent in the past six months, to an average of 32,498 copies.

The Sunday Independent fell by 2.5 per cent to 213,549. The Sunday World experienced the largest fall of 5.6 per cent to 178,867. The Sunday Times has average sales of 83,120, which was down 3.3 per cent.

The numbers cover the January to June period.
