Chinese swoop on Avolon could net founder €32m

With a takeover of his aircraft leasing operation on the cards, it’s been a remarkable turnaround for Domhnal Slattery.

Even at a price tag north of €2 billion it isn’t the biggest takeover ever of an Irish aviation leasing and finance company. That honour goes elsewhere.
