Central Bank warns brass-plate funds over governance standards

The Central Bank has fired another warning shot across the bows of brass-plate investment firms that may not live up to corporate governance standards.

Michael Hodson, the Central Bank’s head of asset management and investment banking, was speaking about Brexit and corporate governance at an event hosted by giant law firm the Maples Group, which is regarded as a member of the so-called magic circle of firms that specialise in offshore tax havens.
