Craftsman makes bowls and spoons from toppled trees

Clare-based craftsman Éamonn O’Sullivan abandoned a career as a consultant ecologist five years ago to set up his handmade carpentry venture Hewn.

O’Sullivan forages for wood near his Ennistymon studio, using axes and knives to carve spoons, bowls and other small homeware items from toppled trees and fallen branches.
