Ireland’s largest house builders are set to face off in a battle for one of Dublin’s best remaining brownfield housing projects at the site of the former Player Wills cigarette factory.

The site is currently in receivership, although both Cairn Homes and Glenveagh Properties are scouting the possibility of forming joint ventures with Nama, which controls the loans linked to the property.
