Department officials said opinions were ‘flawed’ in draft report by C&AG into Nama sale

The Department of Finance heavily attacked a report by the state spending watchdog into Nama’s sale of Project Eagle before it was published, new documents reveal.

Officials in the department were scathing about a draft report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) saying opinions were “based on factual inaccuracies and are unsubstantiated”, while others were “flawed” and showed a “lack of commercial expertise”.
