Take-up of the government’s major Brexit loan schemes remains low two years after the first was launched in 2017.

Finance minister Paschal Donohoe announced the €300 million Brexit Loan Scheme as part of his first budget in 2017 in order to help businesses with working capital requirements.

Last year, the government announced a further €300 million Future Growth Loan Scheme aimed at providing longer-term financial assistance to SMEs.
