Go-Ahead Ireland's parent firm is one of the largest rail operators in Britain and wants to run Irish train services

One of the biggest train operators in Britain is interested in running rail services here.

Go-Ahead Ireland, which operates several public bus routes here, is owned by one of Britain’s largest rail operators, Go-Ahead Group. A publicly listed company, it has a market share of around 30 per cent of rail passengers in Britain.
