A British investment fund has taken a 14.7 per cent stake of the Escher Group, a Smurfit family-backed postal software company with a market valuation of €27 million.

Business Growth Fund (BGF), a stg£1 billion small and medium business investor led by private equity figure Stephen Welton, took the stake in the Dublin-based company, according to a new company stock exchange filing.
