Bright start for new tech recruiter
Such is the buoyancy of Ireland’s technology sector that a new recruitment service offering to match employers and candidates over lunch, is gaining ground as a novel alternative to traditional hiring.
LunchIT launched last April as a kind of “Match.com” for tech recruitment. Employers list available positions on the site, and then select the applicants they would like to meet for “an obligation-free coffee or lunch”, according to co-founder Martha Real.
“Once recruiters sift through applicants, they can either organise an informal meet-up themselves, or let us do it,” said Real.
