It may be January 2016, but somehow the business news last week felt like it belonged to a different decade. Tax revenues rose by 10.5 per cent in 2015; unemployment is reported to be at its lowest rate in seven years; firms supported by Enterprise Ireland added 10,000 new staff and the IDA claimed a new benchmark figure of 187,000 for FDI jobs.
