KBC Bank consumer sentiment index falls to lowest level in six years

Brexit is continuing to weigh heavily on the Irish economy, with consumer sentiment slumping to a six-year low in October.

The latest survey of households by KBC Bank shows fears of a disorderly Brexit has hit the mood of the country, with consumers fearful of the economy taking a battering. The mood of consumers was also hit by a lack of tax cuts in last month’s budget.
