Brendan O'Carroll: State and banks need to do much more to support entrepreneurs

Irish comedian and actor Brendan O’Carroll has criticised the lack of support from the state and banks in Ireland for budding entrepreneurs and said facilities need to be available for people with business ideas.

“There’s still not enough help. There’s not enough help from the banks, there’s not enough help from the state,” O’Carroll said in an interview with The Sunday Business Post.

O’Carroll, who is best known for his character Mrs Brown, said that while money is important for start-up businesses that more facilities to develop a business idea were needed.
