Boylesports, the Irish bookmaker, is in advanced discussions with an unnamed British chain of bookmakers as it seeks to break into that market for the second time in recent years.

Conor Gray, Boylesports chief executive, told The Sunday Business Post that the company has appointed a development manager in Britain and is in discussions about purchasing a portfolio of between 15 and 25 shops in a concentrated geographic area.
