Suggestions that Bord na Móna could grow medical grade cannabis on an industrial scale are “far-fetched” and “illogical”, according to Stephen Murphy, managing director of cannabis investment firm European Cannabis Holdings.

Murphy was reacting to the announcement by Minister for Natural Resources Sean Canney and Minister for Health Simon Harris that Bord na Móna was carrying out a feasibility study into the replacement of thousands of acres of turf cutting with medical cannabis crops....
