Paddy Power bets on new marketing guru

✽ Paddy Power has appointed Gav Thompson as chief marketing officer, responsible for the strategic direction of the brand, from June.

Thompson has more than 20 years of experience working with consumer brands including Guinness, PlayStation and Toyota, the bookmaker said.

Most recently, he held the post of chief marketing officer for the customer engagement technology business, Thunderhead. Prior to this, he was the global director of business innovation at Telefonica.
