Blackrock Irish subsidiary taxed just £150k on £58 million profit

An Irish subsidiary of the multitrillion-dollar US investment giant Blackrock paid just £150,000 in tax in 2017, despite making a profit of £58.1 million thanks to a tax exemption on its taxable profits, newly filed accounts show.

Blackrock Investment Management Ireland Holdings, one of the firm’s several Irish subsidiaries, earned £57.7 million in 2017 from investments in other companies in the group.
