The Drogheda biscuit maker founded by former Jacobs Fruitfield group boss Michael Carey has closed a fresh round of funding.

East Coast Bakehouse’s existing shareholders, including a range of well known business names, came back in for this €1.75 million round. It brings total investment in the country’s only large scale biscuit maker to almost €17 million, mainly from wealthy business people, Carey’s own resources and support from Enterprise Ireland.
