Bank of Ireland to shut down its current account service in Britain after poor uptake

Bank of Ireland is shutting down its current account service in Britain.

The offering, which was launched in 2013, is operated through the British Post Office network. The Sunday Business Post understands the decision to wind up the service is not Brexit-related.

A spokeswoman for Bank of Ireland confirmed that it had decided to withdraw the Post Office Money Current Account offering.
